A Night On The Moon by Poo
Wright-Pulliam features Blazing Star (Mentzel laevicaulis),
Common Nighthawks (Chordeiles minor) and Townsend's Big-eared
Bats (Corynorhinus townsendii).
Poo Wright-Pulliam was Majestic Feathers' 2014 Costa Rica bird
tour Artist-In-Residence and she was the Artist-In-Residence at Craters
of the Moon National Monument last summer. During her residency
she spent her days and nights sketching the broad landscapes,
birds, wild flowers, mammals and reptiles found in that volcanic wonderland.
Poo's scratchboard piece "A Night on the Moon" was
selected from among hundreds of entries for inclusion in the
National exhibition, "Flora of the National Parks". The
exhibition at the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington D.C. is open
to the public from February 18 to October 2, 2016 and is part of
the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Park
Poo will be
the Artist in Residence in March 2017 when Majestic Feathers
offers the birding and learning to draw birds tour again in
Costa Rica. The March 2017 tour dates are March 10 to 20, the
price is $2,870 double occupancy. The full details of the tour
